I’m stepping up to restore sight!

I’m taking on Fred’s Big Run this August to STEP UP TO RESTORE SIGHT!

My goal is to raise funds for The Fred Hollows Foundation to continue the legacy of an Australian legend, Fred Hollows.

Because right now, 9 out of 10 people who are blind don’t need to be...

And an operation that costs as little as $25 can help restore sight to someone who is needlessly blind, and change their life forever!

City 2 surf!

Sunday 11th Aug
Australia’s biggest fun run broke a record this year, 90k runners! The atmosphere was awesome. I hadn’t done half the amount of training I should’ve but still managed to get under the 1:10 cutoff time - 1:09:21 - which means I can start in the red wave again next year o/

Run 3

Wednesday 7th Aug
Only run this week before C2S on Sunday, a 5k tempo…not fast, not slow, somewhere in between. Just something to keep the blood pumping :)

2nd run

Monday 5th Aug
Sunday is long run day but with City2Surf a week away I didn’t want to push too far. 14k with a 1k effort in the middle to keep it interesting :) I’ll be clocking the bulk of the Ks for this challenge after next weekend.

First run done!

Friday 2nd Aug
A nice easy 10k to kick it off. Had a cold at the start of the week but felt good today…thankfully :P
