Intercity cycleway

as the run comes to an end i really need to make sure I’m putting in 110% so I’ll be doing some big runs soon. today I did a lazy 22 kms from Austin’s ferry to new town and back

this killed me but I ran from Newcastle city to Cardiff and now I want to die

just completed a run through Sydney from circular quay to Marrickville. great sights to see and lots of cool places

sorry for the big gap in runs, I’ve been super busy but now I have holidays so expect some big runs coming soon! as for today I was busy all day but found some time to put 6 Kay’s Into the treadmill that I found at home

Let’s do it!

for the month of July I will be running 150km to help restore sight! Even a small donation of $5 or $10 will make a huge difference for a child in a disadvantaged nation. I have been blessed to have perfect eyesight (knock on wood) my whole life up until this point, and I think sometimes I take that for granted. Poor eyesight and even blindness affect so many people around the world but sometimes I think we seem to forget that because of how well our eyecare here is in Australia. We are so lucky here where someone with poor eyesight can go to their local optometrist and obtain glasses at a relatively low cost, and the blind care here as well with the guide dogs programs is really strong. However there are so many countries that are less fortunate than us who don’t have access to this basic healthcare. Children around the world in disadvantaged nations have massive struggles in their day to day lives because they cannot see properly and don’t have access to any sort of eye care. The Fred hollows foundation has done amazing things to help avoidable blindness in Australia and around the world and I want to continue to help the amazing work that these people do
